Randstad USA Headquarters issued the following announcement on Mar. 8.
Today, Randstad USA released its inaugural Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDI&A) report, which shows that the firm consistently exceeded 2021 Bureau of Labor Statistics Professional Services benchmarks for gender and ethnicity inclusion in its workforce. The report also highlights stories, reflections and other successes underpinning Randstad USA’s commitment to a vibrant and diverse working culture. Among the key insights included in the report:
- Women play a critical role at Randstad USA and occupy 60% of leadership roles within the organization
- Randstad has a strong commitment to people of color, who represent 34% of Randstad USA’s workforce compared to the national BLS benchmark of 21%
- In just one year, Randstad USA met 78% of a three-year pledge to reskill 40,000 workers in North America
“Randstad USA is taking decisive action to enshrine EDI&A principles in its core values to create a more diverse workforce,” said Randstad USA Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Audra Jenkins. “Businesses play a vital role in creating opportunities for underserved communities, especially as women and people of color continue to fall behind in the economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. This report will serve as a playbook for firms to weave EDI&A into their organizational DNA as they seek to build the more inclusive workforce of tomorrow.”
Randstad’s inaugural EDI&A report highlights its seven employee-led business development groups that seek to create opportunities for successful diversity strategies and initiatives. The groups, each with their own executive sponsor, represent veterans, disabled workers, communities of color, LGBTQ+ employees, next-generation leaders and women in the workforce. The report found that Randstad USA’s efforts to elevate and celebrate a diverse workforce have been successful, with monthly Randstad In Touch internal surveys indicating a majority of employees feel accepted for who they are and feel valued as a part of the organization.
The report notes other significant Randstad USA EDI&A milestones within the past decade. Beginning in 2014 with the launch of the Hire Hope program, Randstad USA has received DiversityInc’s 2019 Top 50 Companies award, launched its Diversity Deep Dive podcast, earned a top score of 100 from the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ and earned a top score on the Disability Equality Index.
