City of Marietta issued the following announcement on June 14.
The Marietta History Center is proud to announce the acceptance of the Best in Cobb 2022’s Best Virtual Event award for its History Loves Company Facebook Live series!
History Loves Company began in March of 2020, as a way to continue our work of preserving and presenting Cobb County’s history to the public during the pandemic.
Museum Director Amy Reed and Collections Manager Christa McCay take viewers to a different historic spot around Cobb County and discuss the hidden stories that few people are aware of or have access to. These videos are presented on select Fridays at 2:00 p.m. and are then archived on both the Marietta History Center’s Facebook page @MariettaMuseum and the Marietta History Center’s YouTube channel.
History Loves Company is currently filming with new programs coming in June! Join Amy and Christa as they explore old buildings and properties, share fascinating stories that most have never heard or forgotten, discuss significant events that have shaped our community and bring their joy and excitement for local history to the masses.
