Mayor Tommy Allegood met the county's North Cobb Senior Center staff with a number of Acworth Active Adults at their facility in Kennworth Park on Thursday, November 10 to plant bulbs with Mike Weinroth from the Daffodil Project in honor of the children lost during the Holocaust. The Daffodil Project's goal is to plant 1.5 million bulbs as a living memorial in memory of the children who perished in the Holocaust and in support for children suffering in humanitarian crises in the world today. Each spring, the daffodils will return resilient with a burst of color and energy to remind us how precious life is. We were honored to celebrate the planting with our Acworth Active Adults and our friends at North Cobb Senior Center.
