4.9% of citizens unemployed in Cobb County in 2021

Cobb County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 20,806 people out of the 762,500 living in Cobb County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Cobb County has increased compared to the 4.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Cobb County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 403,254 people who had a job during that time, 1,325 were employed in the Armed Forces and 401,929 belonged to the civilian labor force.
