Marietta, GA – This October, embrace the eerie charm of Sleepy Hollow as The Georgia Ballet opens its season with a ballet adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic ghost story. Running from October 3-6, 2024, at the Jennie T. Anderson Theater near historic Marietta Square, Sleepy Hollow is designed to usher in the Fall spirit with a Halloween twist.

For the first time, The Georgia Ballet will incorporate digital backdrops into its production, creating an immersive visual experience that enhances the atmosphere of Sleepy Hollow’s haunted village. These visuals aim to transform the stage and make the tale of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman more captivating.

Designed for all ages, Sleepy Hollow offers a family-friendly experience comparable to a night of trick-or-treating. Audiences will also see students from The School of The Georgia Ballet performing alongside the professional company.

The atmospheric production is equally suited for date nights. Its choreography and Halloween ambiance provide an ideal way for couples to celebrate the season while enjoying a night out.

Performance Dates and Times:

- October 3 – 7 PM (Sensory-Friendly Performance)

- October 4 – 8 PM

- October 5 – 2 PM & 8 PM

“The beauty of Sleepy Hollow lies in its versatility,” says The Georgia Ballet’s Artistic Director. “It’s perfect for a family outing or a romantic date night, with just the right blend of spookiness, artistry, and festive charm to make everyone feel the magic of Fall.”
