Cobb County students from Harrison and Kell High Schools have recently achieved notable success at the 2025 Southeast Student Production Awards. Held at the SCAD University campus, the event acknowledged exceptional student video productions across the Southeast region, which includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Kell High School’s broadcast video students Anna Duke and Kamdon Molineaux won an Emmy for their Celsius commercial. This is a significant accomplishment considering it is Kell High School's inaugural entry in the Southeast Student Production Awards.
The awards, organized by the Southeast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), celebrate excellence in various student video production categories such as commercials, documentaries, and multimedia journalism.
Harrison High School also celebrated success with Madeleine Walter's recognition for her work as a Multimedia Journalist. Her video, "Crafting for a Cause," was awarded, reflecting the district’s dedication to fostering student creativity and advancing their skills in digital media.
The Southeast Emmy Awards are considered a prestigious honor within the domain of student video production, highlighting student talent from the region.
