The Georgia Veterans Day Association, Inc. (GVDA) has announced its annual celebration for this year, set to take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024. The event will return to Midtown Atlanta and feature various family-friendly activities such as the Georgia Veterans Day Parade, a Veterans Expo, and the annual Observance Ceremony at Woodruff Arts Center.

This year's theme is "Honoring our Airborne and Special Operations Forces." These forces have played crucial roles from World War II to current global operations. The GVDA aims to honor the men and women in these units and those supporting their missions.

Kevin L. Miller, President & Chairman of the GVDA, stated: “We are excited to present these outstanding events that honor our Veterans and their families, and we encourage everyone to join us.” He highlighted the advantages of hosting events in Midtown Atlanta: “By hosting our daytime activities in Midtown Atlanta, attendees will have access to some of the best shops and restaurants in the city to enjoy before or after our events."

Additionally, the Freedom Ball will return to the Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium. This black-tie gala is described as an ideal way to conclude a day dedicated to honoring veterans. It is noted as the only ticketed event among those planned.

For more information about GVDA's events on November 9th or details about tickets for the Freedom Ball, interested parties are encouraged to visit www.GeorgiaVeteransDay.org or follow them on Facebook.
