McClure Middle School has been nationally recognized by Solution Tree for its consistent success in raising student achievement. This recognition places McClure among a select group of schools across the nation known for creating a collaborative culture centered on learning and results.

The school's effective use of the Professional Learning Communities at Work® (PLC) process played a significant role in improving student performance. PLCs are educational environments where educators understand that enhancing student learning involves continuous, job-embedded learning for the educators themselves. The PLC model emphasizes three main ideas: focusing on learning, building a collaborative culture, and creating a results-oriented approach.

McClure's team has successfully applied these principles to ensure ongoing improvement in teaching and learning. Teachers and staff collaborate to analyze student data, identify challenges, and implement targeted strategies, demonstrating their commitment to student success.

This recognition adds to McClure's history of academic achievements, including recent accolades as a Georgia Literacy Leader and Georgia Math Leader, especially notable among sixth and eighth-grade students.

Principal Cory Stanley expressed his pride in the school's national recognition: “We have a staff that is incredibly dedicated to our students and their success. We are incredibly honored by this recognition of the work we do every day at McClure to grow our students and one another as professionals.”
