The Awtrey Community Outreach Committee is organizing the Giving Tree initiative this holiday season to support families in need. The project aims to encourage giving by offering assistance to families within the school community. The Giving Tree will feature "ornaments" that represent specific toy and clothing needs of children who might not receive gifts otherwise.

Starting November 22, Awtrey staff members and other adults in the school community can select ornaments online and fulfill specific requests. The identities of families requesting assistance will remain confidential.

Those interested in purchasing gifts are asked to deliver them to Awtrey Middle School by December 13, 2024. Monetary donations for wrapping supplies or unmet needs can be made payable to Awtrey Middle School with "Giving Tree" noted in the memo section. Donations of wrapping materials are also welcomed at Awtrey's main office.
