This holiday season, Cobb schools have been active in spreading cheer and support to families across the district. The community has come together to collect 2,000 gifts, over 1,000 coats, and 200 sets of sheets to ensure that every family feels the magic of the season.

The central office staff adopted families while Cobb EMC donated a significant number of coats—948 in total. District social workers played a crucial role by delivering toys, coats, and sheets throughout the county. At Pearson Middle School, students helped unpack and sort colorful sheets donated by PeachSkinSheets.

Toy donations were abundant at Sedalia Park Elementary School. These toys were then distributed by school social workers to LaBelle Elementary School, Nickajack Elementary School, Birney Elementary School, Fair Oaks Elementary School, and Pine Mountain Middle School.

At Birney Elementary School, Salesforce continued its tradition of raising funds for gifts for every fifth-grader. This initiative is cherished by Amber Heath as it inspires her students. “One of my students told me today...that I’ve inspired him to be a teacher when he grows up,” shared Ms. Heath. “My scholars were shocked...overflowing with excitement and gratitude.” This tradition began from a friendship between Ms. Heath and Brandon Douglas from Salesforce.

As winter break approached, Cobb Schools' social workers remained busy delivering comfort through various donations like cozy sheets and toys. Even during the holiday break, Pearson Middle School will keep helping families with their Fresh Market and Pilot’s Hangar open on December 21.

The efforts of Cobb staff, students, and community partners have ensured that many families will enjoy a brighter holiday season this year.
