The Black History Bowl team has secured the top position as they head into the championship. The team's coach, Crystal Spencer, expressed her pride and excitement: "Guys, we are #1!!!! You all should be proud of yourselves. I know I am! We’re going into the championships as the ones to beat! We’re the Lakers, Bulls, you name it!"
The team members include Esteban G., Maureen K., Kiva O., Catherine H., AJ T., Madison M., and Anise M. They are coached by Crystal Spencer and Petrina Fowler.
The upcoming Championship Series "Elite Eight" will take place on Saturday, February 8th. The teams advancing to this stage are Barber at number one, followed by McClure, Awtrey, Mount Paran, Whitfield Academy, Dobbins, Moses, and Sammy McClure.
