King Springs Elementary School recently honored Ashley King as their Volunteer of the Year. The announcement was made during the Cobb County School District's annual Volunteer of the Year Awards held on February 27, 2025. This event, organized by the Cobb Schools Foundation at Jim Miller Park, acknowledged over 100 individuals who have significantly contributed to local schools.

Ashley King, a parent of two students at King Springs, plays a vital role in maintaining the school's Lost & Found. Her weekly visits help ensure that misplaced items such as coats and water bottles are returned to students if labeled with a name. Any unclaimed items at semester's end are donated to local organizations.

Principal Ashley Mize expressed gratitude for King's dedication, stating that her efforts embody the community spirit crucial for creating a supportive learning environment. The school offers various volunteering opportunities, including an upcoming event hosted by KSE Dad's Club for Read Across Cobb.

Ashley King's recognition reflects her significant impact on King Springs Elementary and its community.
