Smitha counselors have achieved the CCSD School Counseling Comprehensive Model Certification. This recognition comes from the district's counseling department and acknowledges the counselors' commitment to meeting ten essential standards for a comprehensive school counseling program.

The Smitha counselors chose to focus on students facing behavior concerns related to emotional regulation. They collaborated with Smitha staff, who facilitated access to identified students for a six-week small group experience aimed at supporting these students. Throughout this process, the team gathered both outcome and perception data through pre- and post-tests, equipping students with skills to better regulate their emotions.
