Kennesaw Mountain High School is preparing for its Class of 2025 commencement ceremony, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 7:30 PM. The event will be held at the Kennesaw State University Convocation Center.

Graduates and their families are advised to review all provided information carefully. Directions to the venue specify that attendees should exit I-75 at Chastain Road (Exit 271), turn west, and follow signage for parking.

Tickets for the ceremony will be distributed during commencement practice on May 15. "All guests attending the commencement, including babies and small children, will need a ticket to enter the venue," according to the announcement. It also states that photographs of tickets cannot replace legitimate ones.

Students must clear any outstanding fees by May 9 in order to participate in the ceremony. "Students with outstanding fees will be prohibited from participating in the commencement ceremony," it reads.

Commencement practice is mandatory and scheduled for May 14 and May 15 at Kennesaw Mountain High School Gym. Students must attend on time or meet with Principal Mr. Stark if late.

Graduates are expected to adhere to a specific dress code which includes black pants or dresses and caps with tassels worn on the right side during the ceremony. The statement emphasizes that "alterations to the mortarboard and gown will not be permitted."

On graduation day, graduates must arrive by 5:00 PM at KSU's Siegel Recreation Center with their attire ready. Guests can enter from 6:45 PM; those needing assistance may enter earlier through a designated door.

Parking costs $10 per car, payable by credit or debit card upon entry. Special provisions are made for guests requiring assistance.

Diplomas can be collected starting May 27 during business hours from the front office, requiring photo identification for pickup.

For those unable to attend in person, a live webcast of the ceremony will be available online via the school district's website.

In compliance with Kennesaw State University requirements, bag checks will include metal detection devices and specific size restrictions apply for bags brought into the venue.

"Participation in the commencement ceremony is optional and a privilege," reminds Philip Matthews, Graduation Administrator. Any disruptions during practices or ceremonies could result in removal from participation.

The full schedule leading up to graduation includes final exams beginning May 8 and several cap-and-gown walks at local elementary schools on May 16 as part of senior activities.
