Cobb Executive Women, part of the Cobb Chamber, is calling for nominations for its 2025 Woman of Distinction Award. The award, sponsored by S.A. White Oil Company, aims to recognize a woman who has shown outstanding leadership in her profession, community involvement, and commitment to social responsibility. The award ceremony will take place during the Marquee Monday luncheon on June 2.
According to the organization, the award highlights women who have "demonstrated exceptional leadership" and have "driven meaningful change and created a lasting impact by uplifting and empowering others." Nominations must be submitted by April 18.
To qualify, nominees need to have at least five years of experience in promoting or supporting women in the workplace. They must currently live or work in Cobb County and hold membership in the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. While nominees must also meet the membership qualifications for Cobb Executive Women (CEW), they do not need to be current members.
The nomination process specifies that previous award recipients cannot be nominated again, and self-nominations are not permitted. Nominations must be made by a CEW member, Chamber member, or community member, and those serving on the current CEW Steering Committee are not eligible.
CEW membership qualifications include roles such as corporate executives who manage budgets and teams, business owners with registered businesses, nonprofit and government executives, and judicial system and government employees in managerial positions.
