Cobb Public Saftey Forum to include city police agencies in Cobb

Cobb County Police Department is hosting a first-of-its-kind upcoming Public Safety Forum on March 25, 2023, that will include not only Cobb County Government Public Safety agencies (Police, Fire, 911, Emergency Management) but also Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and the police departments of all six cities in Cobb County: Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Smyrna, Powder Springs, and Austell.

The event will be held at the Cobb County Department of Public Safety Training Center (2435 East-West Connector, Austell, GA) on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a free lunch will be provided by Blue Thanksgiving (https://www.bluethanksgiving.com/).

Active Shooter Events: How Prepared is Cobb County, and what should citizens do?

The Future of Policing: Showcasing the people and technology we use to solve/prevent crime while increasing community trust.

Gun Safety and Current Gun Laws: Increasing public safety through responsible gun ownership and understanding current gun laws.

Public Safety Personnel and Citizen Interactions: How to interact with law enforcement and public safety personnel.

Building Trust between Law Enforcement and the Community: Law Enforcement Executives and Community Leaders speak.  

This is a free event open to the public, but space is limited, and tickets are required for entry.
