City of Kennesaw Announces Grand Opening & Concert Series

The City of Kennesaw has revealed plans for the Grand Opening Celebration of The Piedmont Bank Amphitheater on June 14, at 6:00 p.m. The announcement was made by Mayor Derek Easterling, who expressed his excitement, stating, “The Piedmont Bank Amphitheater at Depot Park represents a significant milestone for Downtown Kennesaw.”

Mayor Easterling emphasized the significance of the new amphitheater, saying, “The Piedmont Bank Amphitheater is poised to redefine how locals and visitors alike engage with the arts, music and community gatherings. Its centralized presence symbolizes our commitment to fostering a dynamic and enriching environment, where creativity flourishes and shared experiences create community.”

The Kennesaw Concert Series, presented by Wellstar Health System, will kick off on June 14 with Leah Belle Faser opening at 6:30 p.m., followed by the headliner, September in the Park, taking the stage at 8:00 p.m. The series will also feature concerts on September 14 and November 9.

The Piedmont Bank Amphitheater at Depot Park boasts a 50 x 42 ft stage, with space for up to 3,000 people. It is expected to become a hub for various annual Kennesaw events, including the Kennesaw Concert Series, Salute to America, and A Day with Santa. The amphitheater is scheduled to open in Spring 2024.
