The Cobb Schools Foundation and the Cobb County School District have announced a partnership with the Center for Family Resources (CFR) to provide nonperishable food boxes to families in need. This initiative is part of CFR's annual Thanks-for-Giving campaign, which aims to deliver meals to families during the Thanksgiving holiday.

"We are incredibly grateful for this partnership with CFR, which amplifies our shared mission of ensuring that every student and family in Cobb is supported in meaningful ways," said Cobb Schools Superintendent Chris Ragsdale. "This initiative allows us to help families put food on the table during a critical time of year, and we couldn’t be more proud to work alongside CFR."

The district reports about 2,000 homeless students each year, with over 40,000 families eligible for free or reduced lunch. All schools report having at least one homeless student.

"The Cobb Schools Foundation is committed to enriching the lives of our students and families. This partnership undoubtedly is taking student success to new heights," said Felicia Wagner, Executive Director of the Cobb Schools Foundation.

Food distribution will occur on November 13th and 14th, involving schools and volunteers working together to ensure timely delivery.
