The Cobb Schools community recently honored its top educators by awarding them with a one-year car lease from Voyles Automotive Group. This gesture followed a celebratory event at the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre, where teachers received recognition for their contributions.

The recipients of the car leases included Karen Wright from Big Shanty Intermediate School, who was named both the District Level Teacher of the Year and Elementary School Level Teacher of the Year. Shelly Quance from Palmer Middle School was recognized as Middle School Level Teacher of the Year, while Jasmin Molina from Osborne High School took home the title for High School Level Teacher of the Year.

This event is part of the Cobb Chamber's 35th annual Give Our Schools a Hand celebrations. It honors teachers from Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools for their dedication to education.

Earlier this year, Superintendent Chris Ragsdale made a surprise visit to Big Shanty Intermediate School to announce Ms. Wright as the District’s Teacher of the Year. Ms. Wright serves as a 4th grade ELA teacher and team lead at her school.
