Campbell High School prepares for EOC testing; important updates shared

Campbell High School is preparing for a busy week as the End of Course (EOC) tests are set to begin. Students enrolled in American Literature, Algebra I, Biology, and US History will be participating. The school emphasizes the importance of students arriving well-rested and on time.

Principal's Message highlights efforts to maintain focus during instructional periods by requiring students to store cell phones in classroom caddies. Parents are also requested not to contact their children during these times.

The Student Behavior Contract Letter has been distributed and reviewed with all students. A change in the Early Checkout Time has been implemented, now set at 2:45 PM.

The Counseling Department encourages students interested in Dual Enrollment to attend an information session. Feedback from parents and community members is welcomed through a survey link provided by the school.

In other news, Campbell High School congratulates IB Senior Lila Marble on signing with Virginia Tech for lacrosse. Additionally, there are unclaimed yearbooks from last year available for pickup.

Campbell Theatre invites everyone to its 4th Annual Lip Sync Battle on December 6. The school's Debate Team recently achieved notable success, with several individuals and teams earning awards.

For those interested in parking for Spring 2025, applications must be submitted online as paper submissions are not accepted. Decal distribution will occur mid-December.

The CHS Comfort Closet continues to provide personal care items for those in need. Donations have been appreciated throughout the year.

Students involved in Advanced Placement can apply for the CAPS Program through Dr. Dorrough. Information about magnet school applications and advisement sessions is also being shared with families.

Senior families are reminded of deadlines related to cap and gown orders before price increases in January. Additional senior-related information has been provided through seminars and attachments.

The Soccer Booster Club's Spirit Wear sale ends soon, while an informational meeting about spring lacrosse is scheduled for December 11. The baseball team offers a Christmas tree pickup service early next month.

Finally, support is encouraged for the student-run coffee shop open weekday mornings at Wills Gym Concession.
