Cobb County Schools will open two hours later than usual on Wednesday, January 22nd, due to road and facility conditions. This decision follows assessments by local police, maintenance, and transportation departments.

The announcement comes after consultations with the National Weather Service Atlanta, Cobb Emergency Management, and Cobb Department of Transportation. Despite the delayed opening, all after-school activities and sports events will proceed as planned.

"Throughout the day, our police, maintenance, and transportation departments have reviewed Cobb's road and facility conditions."

"Also, in line with discussions with the National Weather Service Atlanta, Cobb Emergency Management, and Cobb Department of Transportation," it was decided that "all Cobb schools will open on a two-hour delay for Wednesday, January 22nd."

All extracurricular activities remain unaffected by this schedule change.
