Excitement filled Milford Elementary School as the Atlanta Braves' mascot, BLOOPER, along with his Mascot Security team, visited for the first BLOOPER's HOME Run U school show of 2025. The event was designed to teach students about healthy lifestyles through engaging activities.

The arrival of BLOOPER in the gym elicited loud cheers from the students, akin to a stadium celebrating a home run. His antics brought laughter and smiles to both students and teachers, who also participated in some playful pie-throwing.

BLOOPER and his team engaged hundreds of Milford students in activities that emphasized the importance of diet and exercise. Students eagerly participated in interactive challenges aimed at promoting healthier choices.

"Milford students were thrilled when Blooper, the Braves mascot, made a special appearance at Milford Elementary for the HomeRun U Show," said Dr. Tiffany Jones, principal of Milford Elementary. "During the show, the students learned about the four bases of healthy habits, which emphasized the importance of physical activity, eating healthy, getting proper rest, and being engaged in the classroom by putting in effort and having the right attitude. The event was both fun and educational, leaving a lasting impression on the students."

The HOME Run U initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the Atlanta Braves to support local schools by fostering community through baseball. The program aims to engage young fans by providing them with tools that enhance their learning experience while promoting personal growth.

In a few months, some Milford students will reunite with Blooper at Truist Park when they perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" before thousands of fans.
