Parents and guardians with children zoned for District schools now have the opportunity to apply for an HB 251 School Choice transfer. This option allows students to attend a school other than their designated local school, in line with state law and District rules.
The availability of space at a school is determined by its permanent classroom capacity. If transfer requests exceed the available spaces, the District will hold a random lottery to allocate spots.
The application period for the 2025-2026 academic year runs from January 21, 2025, through February 14, 2025. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
