Cobb Schools' Athlete of the Week program recognizes outstanding male and female student-athletes for their achievements in sports, academics, and community involvement. Supported by BSN Sports, this week's honorees are basketball players from Walton High School: Graycen Ehlen and Caesar Burrows.

Graycen Ehlen is a senior starter for the Lady Raiders. She began playing basketball in fourth grade with the Junior Raider program and currently leads her team in points, steals, assists, and blocks. Recently honored for scoring her 1000th career point, she maintains a 3.4 GPA and plans to attend Mississippi State University on a soccer scholarship.

"Graycen has been a huge part of our program’s success over the past few seasons," said her coach, Matt Kelterborn. "She was also selected to the GBCA/GACA 7A All-State team for basketball last year as a junior."

Coach Kelterborn added that Graycen serves as a role model both on and off the court. "Her teammates and coaches have the highest respect for her," he concluded.

Caesar Burrows is another standout athlete at Walton High School. A three-year starter and four-year varsity player for the Raiders, Caesar recently scored his 1000th career point as well. He leads his team in points, assists, and rebounds while maintaining a 3.73 GPA. Caesar will continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Lehigh University on a basketball scholarship.

"Caesar is the ultimate team leader," stated Raider Boys Head Coach Bo Abney. "His example for our younger athletes is something that makes him special."

Both athletes exemplify what it means to be student-athletes through their dedication to sportsmanship and academics.
