Cobb County Education: Which district had most students enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year?

Cobb County School District had the highest enrollment among Cobb County districts, welcoming 105,633 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were male, and 49% were female.

The most represented ethnicity among Cobb County School District students was white, accounting for 34% of the student population.

Among the three districts in Cobb County, Marietta City Schools ranked second in enrollment numbers with 8,535 students, while State Charter Schools II- Northwest Classical Academy welcomed 638 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Cobb County School District generally encompasses schools within Cobb County with its main office in Marietta.

According to the Georgia Department of Education, over 1.6 million students were enrolled in Georgia's public schools during the 2021-22 school year. The state boasted a diverse and closely distributed student body across grade levels, with roughly 44% of the students in elementary, 24.5% in middle school, and 31.5% in high schools.

The state also registered an ethnically diverse student body, with 34.4% of the students identified as white, 36.5% as Black, 17.1% as Hispanic, and 4.5% as Asian.
