As Campbell High School approaches the end of the academic year, several important dates and updates have been announced. The school's annual spring break is scheduled from April 7 to April 11. The commencement ceremony for the graduating class of 2025 is set for Friday, May 23, at 7 PM at the Kennesaw State University (KSU) Convocation Center.
Principal John Armour emphasized the importance of parents keeping track of students' grades and coordinating with counselors and teachers. He also reminded that the ongoing Drop/Add period for the 2025-26 school year allows for course adjustments.
Students preparing for Advanced Placement (AP) tests need to ensure their laptops have Windows 11 installed. "If Windows 11 has been downloaded, the restart may take up to 2 hours," stated the principal, advising students to plan accordingly. Any issues should be reported to AP teachers to arrange a tech appointment.
A new policy change sets the Early Checkout Time to 2:45 PM. Additionally, the Student Behavior Contract Letter, discussed during grade-level assemblies, remains available for review.
In the Counseling Department, parents and community members are encouraged to complete a survey to improve student programs. Meanwhile, College and Career Counselors are actively engaging with students for guidance.
The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is hosting its general meeting on March 31 at 6:30 PM via Zoom. The meeting will involve electing PTSA Board officers and voting on a dues increase for the 2025-26 term. Burger Crush Spirit Day is advertised for April 1, where a portion of sales will support the PTSA.
Senior students should note that community service hours are due by April 25, 2025. Commencement participation and scholarship applications are ongoing, with various deadlines close. Parents are reminded to encourage senior students to complete their applications for Campbell's Who's Who ceremony, as recognized by Thomas Jones.
Later this year, juniors and seniors have various informational meetings planned, including virtual sessions and field trips. The school offers free summer school credit recovery with transportation provided for those attending.
Athletics announcements include an opportunity to purchase Campbell Letter Jackets on April 2 and information about joining the Technology Student Association for the next school year.
