Cobb Schools’ Athlete of the Week program continues to spotlight outstanding student-athletes, with this week's recognition going to two individuals from Allatoona and Osborne. The program, supported by BSN Sports, honors students who excel in their sports, academics, and school communities.
Audrey Hilliard represents Allatoona as a cheerleader for the Buccaneers. Her involvement extends across multiple teams, including Varsity Competition, Varsity Game Day, and Varsity Basketball cheerleading teams. Assistant Cheer Coach Michaela Hicks praised Audrey's dedication: "She means the world to us. Audrey is the first to lend a hand... She is fully deserving of any and all recognition and accolades." Head Cheer Coach Ann Dau echoed these sentiments: "Audrey can always be seen giving her all... She has a positive attitude and is dedicated to her team."
Henry Benjamin from Osborne stands out in wrestling. He recently graduated from the POPP Protect the Dream program and went undefeated at a recent tournament. As a three-sport athlete participating in football, track, and wrestling for the Cardinals, Henry's quiet leadership is acknowledged by his coaches. Head Coach Troy Pruett noted Henry's grit: "Henry represents our wrestling program by his grit and determination every time he steps on the mat." Cardinal Athletic Director Ron Boggs added: "We are proud that Henry has chosen to compete at very high levels... He continues to develop as a person and athlete."
Both Audrey Hilliard and Henry Benjamin exemplify dedication in their respective fields.
