Wheeler High School Theatre is set to transport audiences to the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss with their production of "Seussical Jr." The performances are scheduled for January 17 at 7:00 pm and January 18 at 5:00 pm at the Wheeler Performance Arts Center.

The musical, designed for family enjoyment, brings to life beloved characters from Dr. Seuss's stories. It is crafted by Tony-winning writers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and narrated by the Cat in the Hat.

The plot follows Horton the Elephant as he discovers a speck of dust containing Whoville, a tiny town. After Jungle Nool Creatures steal this speck, Horton embarks on a quest to retrieve it. During his journey, he agrees to sit on Mayzie La Bird's egg, which distracts him from his mission. Eventually, Gertrude McFuzz helps save the day. Themes of friendship, loyalty, and community are explored throughout the narrative.

Tickets are available at WHEELERHS.BOOKTIX.COM. Adult tickets cost $20, while student tickets are priced at $10 with a student ID or when accompanied by an adult. Cobb Schools faculty and staff can receive one complimentary ticket with a Cobb Schools ID.
