Campbell High School shares updates on upcoming events and student achievements

Campbell High School is engaging its community with a series of events and updates as the new year progresses. The school is hosting a Hybrid Parent Meeting focused on Elective Registration, specifically rescheduled for Spanish-speaking parents due to previous weather-related cancellations. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 28.

The school is encouraging families to complete a Climate Survey, aiming for at least 30% participation. Principal's communications highlight changes such as the new Early Checkout Time set at 2:45 PM.

In other news, Campbell High School's counseling department continues to offer support through feedback surveys and college and career counseling services provided by Ms. Young and Ms. Diaz-Brown.

The PTSA has expressed gratitude towards volunteers who supported recent staff events and announced that the Spirit Wear Shop is now open until February 9. Additionally, they are seeking contributions from local businesses for Student of the Month gift bags.

Academically, AP Exam Registration remains open until March 7th, with specific instructions provided for students qualifying for Free/Reduced Lunch or STEM exams. Meanwhile, social workers will host virtual discussions about school attendance on January 29th.

Marlee Carter achieved success in music by winning all-state finals to join an esteemed orchestra ensemble alongside fellow students Yusef Henry, Taya Park, and Jai Yadav. Additionally, several students participated in the GMEA District 12 Honor Chorus under Dr. Kari Adams' direction.

The school's swim teams excelled at recent championships with notable performances from athletes like Luke Watkins and Julia Hodgson among others.

For seniors preparing for graduation on May 23rd at KSU Convocation Center, ticket requests must be submitted by February 28th through their student portal.

Upcoming events include Fame performances by Campbell High Theatre from January 30 to February 1st and tennis team tryouts scheduled this week.

Lastly, opportunities exist for students needing volunteer hours through involvement with the Campbell Baseball Team's home games or graphic design projects related to social media promotions.
