Walton High School invites community to 50th anniversary celebration

Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia, is marking its 50th anniversary with an open house and festival scheduled for Saturday, April 19. The event will be held on campus from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.

In recognition of this milestone, Walton High School will host a variety of activities aimed at celebrating its long-standing tradition of academic excellence and community engagement. The event will feature booths managed by sports teams, student organizations, and academic groups, offering informational displays and student projects.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour some of the school's modern facilities such as the gymnasium, sports medicine facility, robotics annex, and theater. Inside the Information Center, visitors can explore "Walton Through the Years," a retrospective showcasing yearbooks, a video montage, and memorabilia highlighting five decades of the school's history.

Live music performances will take place in the theater, and food options will be provided outdoors.

Walton High School opened its doors in the fall of 1975 and has gained a reputation as one of the leading public high schools in Georgia and the nation. The school has been recognized for its strong academic performance and successful extracurricular programs.
