Cobb Schools’ Athlete of the Week program has announced its latest recipients, showcasing talented students excelling in sports and academics with support from BSN Sports.

This week's honorees include Maci Tucker, a standout sophomore soccer player for the Hillgrove Hawks, and Cameren Williams, a senior runner with impressive performances for the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs.

Maci Tucker, who plays forward for Hillgrove, has scored 19 goals and provided five assists in the past nine games. Her consistent performance includes four consecutive hat tricks, and she was previously named All-Region and Co-Region Player of the Year in her freshman year. Her coach, Shannon Center, praised her game-changing influence and commitment to both scoring and creating opportunities on the field. "Maci is a tenacious player with a nose for the goal," Center said. "She finishes her opportunities at an exceptionally high rate while creating opportunities for others."

Cameren Williams, a leading runner for Kennesaw Mountain, recently claimed a county championship in the 800m with a record time of 1:53.47. He also anchored a record-breaking 4x400m relay team. Williams, who is pursuing engineering schools for further education, was lauded by his coach, Steve Copeland, as a leader and consistent contributor to the school's track and field team. "Cameren has been a key member of our track and field team all four years of high school," Copeland stated. Williams also distinguishes himself in swimming and diving, placing as a county finalist and performing in the state meet.

Both student-athletes were recognized for their achievements and congratulated for outstanding performances both in athletics and in fostering positive community spirits.
