Cost of college went up for all students at Chattahoochee Technical College

In-state tuition and fees rose 1.2 percent for 2018-19 at Chattahoochee Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $2,816 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $34 more than the $2,782 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 75.9 percent more than residents this year, or $4,952. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 0.7 percent from $4,918 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 511 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 15 students took out student loans totaling more than $67,815.

Including all undergraduates (10,483), 6,752 students used grants or scholarships totaling $21.1 million.
