The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is organizing its annual STEAMapalooza event, inviting families to enjoy an evening filled with science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics activities. The event will take place on February 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Attendees can arrive early for a pre-event session starting at 5:15 PM. This session will include snacks available for purchase, a silent auction viewing, a musical performance, and a PTSA meeting. It is important to note that students must be accompanied by an adult as this is not a drop-off event.

The main event promises various hands-on activities and demonstrations designed to engage participants of all ages. Highlights include ferrofluid investigations, model rocket displays, and interactions with a CCSD NASA Ambassador. Other attractions are musical instrument exploration and painting with natural watercolors.

For those interested in more interactive experiences, the event offers chemical reactions demonstrations and Mad Libs with artificial intelligence. Science enthusiasts can explore hot air balloon science or participate in live tissue lessons. Puzzle petting zoos and speed cubing challenges will also be available.

Robotics fans will have the opportunity to witness demos from the Simpson MS Robotics Team and high school robotics teams. Additionally, there will be an engineering challenge hosted by Wheeler SWE.

Participants can engage in make-and-take activities such as creating their own slime or harmonicas and crafting with ultraviolet beads.

A link for the silent auction is provided for those who wish to partake online.
