Course requests for the 2025-2026 academic year are now accessible through ParentVue and StudentVue. It is suggested to use the web version of these platforms for optimal results.
Teachers have provided their recommendations for core academic classes, which can be found under "Course Requests." Elective choices appear in priority order under "Alternate Course Requests."
The Add/Drop window is currently open, offering the only opportunity to modify course requests for the upcoming school year. The deadline for making changes is March 10, 2025.
It is important to note that the courses visible in ParentVue/StudentVue do not represent a finalized schedule but rather a list of teacher-recommended core courses and student-selected electives. Official schedules will be released in July 2025.
Students should ensure they have selected four core courses—Math, Science, Social Studies, and English—along with four electives.
Regarding waiving up or down into an academic course, teachers aim to place students in classes where they will face significant challenges based on grades, test scores, and past performance. Sprayberry High School does not support placing students in potentially discouraging or overwhelming classes. If a parent or student wishes to alter a teacher's recommendation:
- A maximum of two courses may be waived into.
- Waiving can occur only one level up or down.
- Once changed, returning to the original or another course is not permitted if space allows.
- Waiving up requires meeting higher academic standards.
For those interested in adjusting their selections, access the Add/Drop form via the Useful Links section before March 10, 2025.
